Dolphins coach Adam Gase has made it clear that he envisions starting and finishing drives with the same running back on the field for every snap. This will require whoever the running back is to do everything running backs do, including catching passes.

That could be bad news for presumed starter Jay Ajayi, based on a recent observation from Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. According to Jackson, Ajayi has dropped “a few” passes during offseason workouts and “doesn’t always seem a natural pass-catcher.”
