Cleveland Browns safety Jabrill Peppers underwent a MRI for a knee injury that he suffered during the team’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday afternoon, according to the team. However, Browns head coach Hue Jackson is now hopeful that the injury is nothing serious.

Peppers, who played his collegiate football at the University of Michigan, was selected by Cleveland in the first round (25th pick overall) of the NFL Draft back in April.

He has played in 10 games during what has been a disappointing rookie campaign, registering 43 total tackles and one fumble recovery thus far. In addition, the 22-year-old has served as a return man for the Browns, returning eight kickoffs for 161 yards and 24 punts for 144 yards.
