"Intent on improving a wide receiver corps that has had its share of ups and downs -- and drops -- all season, the Rams completed a trade Monday for Denver wideout Brandon Lloyd.

The Rams gave up a conditional sixth-round pick for Lloyd, who is from Kansas City and played at the University of Illinois. The pick can change to a fifth-rounder depending on the number of catches Lloyd has for the Rams.

The expectation is that Lloyd will be ready to play this week in Dallas because he knows this offense very well. He played in the same system the previous two seasons under then-Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels, now the Rams' offensive coordinator."
