Happ was hit by a line drive in the seventh, Martinez had a feeling he would be the Phillies' choice to start tonight's all-important Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Colorado Rockies. He's likely to do it amid predicted near-record cold and snow showers at Coors Field.

Friday, before the Phillies worked out here, he got confirmation that's he'd start.

"I sent (pitching coach Rich) Dubee to tell him," manager Charlie Manuel said, "but I think he kind of knew, really. He kind of put two and two together (Thursday) night."
