"The Islanders have agreed to terms with Matt Donovan on an entry level deal, the team announced today.

Donovan's deal will commence at the beginning of the 2011-12 season, but the 20-year-old defenseman will head to the team's minor league affiliate Bridgeport Sound Tigers for the remainder of the season. He'll play for the Sound Tigers on an ATO, Amateur Tryout."
