Our weekly look at the Detroit Tigers:

Al Alburquerque
Who's hot: There are a handful of players -- Torii Hunter, Miguel Cabrera, Anibal Sanchez, to name a few -- who would fit here just fine. But look at the pitching line in the past three games for Al Alburquerque: 5IP, 1H, 0R, 0ER, 0BB, 10SO. Alburquerque struck out the first five batters he faced Sunday and has been lights out for the past week or so. He has struck out 16 in nine innings pitched this season.
Who's not: Prince Fielder was putting up video-game numbers early in the season and was named American League Player of the Week just seven days ago. But he's had a rough go of it since then. Even with a two-run home run Sunday against the Los Angeles Angels, Fielder is 5-for-27 (.185) with a double, a home run, two walks and 11 strikeouts in his past six games. His slugging percentage as of a week ago was an incredible .833. In the past week, it was .333.
