"Orlando Magic PG Jameer Nelson sat out Monday night's game against the Atlanta Hawks because of a sprained left ankle.

Nelson now has missed two consecutive games because of the injury. Orlando coach Stan Van Gundy said there's a "hope" that Nelson will return for Wednesday's game against Utah but added that it's "more realistic" for Nelson to play Friday against Toronto.

The ankle's swelling has gone down, and Nelson was able to run straight ahead and shoot baskets Monday."
