To some of the bewildered folks back home, Brent Sutter required a sobriety test Thursday for his pronouncements after the morning skate.

Olli Jokinen and Jarome Iginla on the same line? Again? Didn't some wise soul tell us a long time ago that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result?

No matter. Iginla and Jokinen indeed played together in Detroit, and the Flames defeated the faltering Red Wings 4-1 at Joe Louis Arena.

So is Sutter a clairvoyant of sorts? How else to explain a move that, from the outside, appeared nonsensical?
