"The Carolina Hurricanes conducted a trade Wednesday, but not one involving any of their regulars.

The Hurricanes acquired forwards Evgenii Dadonov and A.J. Jenks from the Florida Panthers in exchange for forwards Jon Matsumoto and Mattias Lindstrom.

Matsumoto, 25, was the leading scorer this season with 34 points for the Charlotte Checkers, the Canes' AHL affiliate. Lindstrom, 20, was a third-round draft pick by the Canes in 2009."
