The Phillies aren't expecting Hunter Pence to be available until the weekend after he was diagnosed with a mild strain of the patella tendon in his left knee.

Pence hurt his knee while running out an infield single during the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday. He stayed in the game until the sixth inning.

He didn't play in the nightcap, and had an MRI Wednesday, which confirmed the strain.

But Pence didn't seem too concerned. He said he's had the condition before, and that he felt like he could have played Wednesday.
