"It took Blackhawks goaltender Cristobal Huet a couple of swings to break his stick against the post as he vented his frustration Saturday.
Huet was upset after Rick Nash scored to help the Blue Jackets take a second-period lead in a game the Hawks eventually rallied to win 6-5.
"It was a weird game," said Huet, who made 21 saves to improve his record to 22-8-3. "It's not fun to be the goalie in those games. You have to battle through and keep staying positive."
Huet didn't look positive as he smashed his stick in anger after Nash's second goal of the game gave the Blue Jackets a 4-3 lead after the Hawks had led 3-1.
"(I was) mad at myself," Huet said. "I always look at what I could have done better, and I was frustrated because the game was 3-1 and now we're down 4-3. It's not something you're proud of. It was good to let it out on my post."
It raised the question of whether Huet had packed enough sticks for the next seven games of the trip."
