"Blackhawks winger Marian Hossa will be "likely out up to a couple of weeks" with an upper-body injury suffered during the second period of Wednesday night's 3-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings.
The veteran winger, who has seven goals and four assists this season, left the ice during the early stages of the second period following a collision with the Kings' Jarret Stoll along the boards in the Los Angeles zone and didn't return.
"We found out a little bit more (and) it's not of a serious nature," Hawks coach Joel Quenneville said following Thursday's practice. "Hopefully he can get on the ice soon and he can be back before we know it.""
