Third baseman Adrian Beltre ignored the throbbing pain of a bruised left knee and stayed in the Rangers' lineup Wednesday.

Beltre fouled a pitch off the bottom of the knee during the fourth inning of Tuesday's loss to Detroit in the AL Championship Series. Beltre received treatment overnight and, despite a lingering limp, proclaimed himself fit to play.

"He's a gamer," manager Ron Washington said. "It can't get any worse. He's just got to play with pain."
