Kirk Hinrich will miss at least a week after getting his right elbow cleaned out.

Joakim Noah, meanwhile, is day-to-day with swelling and discomfort in his right foot.

"He'll get treatment and see where he is each and every day," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said. "You want him to be healthy, so he has to work on the rehab and getting back."

After Friday night's game in Brooklyn, Noah said he is "trying to be smart" about dealing with plantar fasciitis, whose effects are considered tricky and unpredictable. Three seasons ago, that condition in his left foot caused him to miss 18 games.

"The last time, I tried to keep fighting through it," he said. "I'm hoping that with a little bit of rest I'll be all right."

Playoffs? Thibodeau channeled his inner Jim Mora after being told that with the playoffs looming, some of his players are aiming to become completely healthy.
