"Jonas Hiller looked worse than he felt when he got to United Center on Sunday night.
Hiller was knocked out of Saturday's practice by a shot that creased his mask and cut him near his left eye. He had a bandage and a shiner, but his shoulders were fine as he carried the Ducks into overtime, where they lost to Chicago, 3-2.
"I knew it wasn't too bad," Hiller said. "I might have to change the cage a little bit on the mask, but I never thought I was really hurt."
Hiller was very strong in the third period as Chicago kept attacking. He stopped Brian Campbell, Niklas Hjalmarsson and Tomas Kopecky in the final 15 minutes without leaving rebounds.
He also benefited when Duncan Keith and Jonathan Toews hit posts."
