While he's not back to being the absolute offensive force he was for much of his 2010 rookie season, Jason Heyward recently has sure been closer to that than to his lackluster performance for most of this seaon.

And that resurgence is good news for the Braves and their 22-year-old right fielder.

"Exactly right, it's a good time to have it," said Heyward, who had two hits in Friday's win and is 11-for-35 (.314) with a .432 on-base percentage in his past 12 games, with two doubles, a homer and eight walks. "Couldn't come at a better time. It's great to have that kind of momentum personally.

"Obviously our goal is to make the playoffs, because you've got to be in it to win it. But it's just good, too, to personally feel like I'm contributing at this point."
