After a drought dating to the second game of the season, Henrik Zetterberg came through with his second goal of the season Friday night, giving the Red Wings an early lead before they lost to the San Jose Sharks.
Zetterberg's line with Pavel Datsyuk and Danny Cleary had several good chances as they buzzed around San Jose's zone during the 4-2 loss at Joe Louis Arena. Zetterberg had seven shots, Datsyuk five.
Coach Mike Babcock said "it was good" to see that from the line, which had been relatively quiet since being put together Oct. 8 at Colorado. Babcock wasn't as enthused by his second line of Valtteri Filppula, Johan Franzen and Jiri Hudler.
"I thought Mule's line and Fil and Huds could've been better for us," Babcock said. "But you know, it was one of those games, there wasn't a lot of room.
