"There was a scene in the third quarter of the Dolphins' 20-10 preseason victory against Carolina on Friday night that likely wouldn't have existed a season ago.
It looked like this: Miami quarterback Chad Henne and the Dolphins' top receiver, Brandon Marshall, standing side by side, sharing a lengthy conversation.
Throughout the 2010 season, the pair didn't share much except perhaps mutual frustration. Henne and the Dolphins' offense stalled more often than not. And Marshall made clear at the end of the season his preference for Tyler Thigpen, who served as Henne's backup at the time.
But now, it seems, Henne and Marshall are developing a more positive relationship. A good thing for the Dolphins, given such a dynamic was nonexistent a season ago. The prolonged talk that Henne and Marshall shared represented another sign that they're committed to better working with one another.
Asked later what he and Marshall were talking about, Henne said they were "just staying on the same page." They watched the Dolphins' second- and third-teamers and talked about how they'd handle certain situations had they been on the field. "
