Lost by Celtics fans amid the mourning over the loss of Avery Bradley to season-ending shoulder surgery was the fact Miami was missing a much more accomplished player in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals last night, a contest the Heat won, 93-79.

Chris Bosh, a seven-time All-Star, has been sidelined since suffering an abdominal strain in Game 1 of the conference semifinals.

There appeared to be a sign of encouragement Sunday when Bosh went through some drills and shot free throws, but Heat coach Erik Spoelstra extinguished any hope of an impending return.

"I wouldn't over-read into his workout (Sunday)," Spoelstra said after yesterday morning's shootaround. "We'll continue to re-evaluate every day. He'll continue to do his rehab. When he starts legitimate basketball work, I'll pay attention a little bit more."
