"Reporters were gathered around Marian Hossa's dressing-room stall Sunday morning waiting to interview the Blackhawks winger when teammate Tomas Kopecky arrived in the vicinity with young son Jakub in tow.

Kopecky suggested a member of the media interview the 6-year-old, a frequent visitor in the room, so a reporter asked the youngster what his old man needed to do better.

"Score more goals," Jakub said.

Kopecky and several teammates heeded the advice as the Hawks dropped the Blue Jackets 4-1 on Sunday night at the United Center. Kopecky opened the scoring in the first period, Patrick Sharp had two goals and Dave Bolland another as the Hawks won their fourth consecutive game to conclude a five-game homestand."
