" Percy Harvin returned to Vikings practice Friday, but things did not go smoothly.
The wide receiver, who sat out Wednesday and Thursday because of an injured left ankle, got into a heated argument with coach Brad Childress when Childress questioned Harvin's effort in practice, according to sources.
Harvin, who hurt his ankle last Sunday at New England but was able to continue in the game, is listed as questionable for Sunday against Arizona, but it's expected he will try to play. He leads the team with 31 receptions.
"He's a tough guy," Childress said. "Let's face it, he injured that foot on his first catch of the game [last Sunday in New England] and still was very productive. I would just say he's tough."
The Vikings added receiver Bernard Berrian to the injury report because of a groin injury, but he is listed as probable.
Pro Bowl receiver Sidney Rice (hip) has been practicing this week but remains on the physically unable to perform list. "He's made it through the whole practices but in a different kind of capacity," Childress said of Rice's workload this week. "He's taken turns with our starters, he's taken a lot of turns on the scout team. He takes the whole game plan in and goes through it. He's working through some soreness right now. You might say he could play in a limited sector, that's all still being determined. I think probably next week's probably more viable, but we're still going to see."
The Vikings continue to carry 52 players on their roster, one under the limit"
