"The Jazz's playoff aspirations were already shaky when Utah tipped off against the Grizzlies on Monday night. But when the Jazz lost starting point guard Devin Harris just 3 minutes, 1 second into the contest due to a strained right hamstring, the team's postseason hopes — and chance against Memphis — received a major hit.
Harris tweaked a hamstring that was already tender when he sank a nine-foot running jump shot at the 10:29 mark in the first period. He immediately pulled up in pain, then lightly ran the court before being forced to leave it. The veteran guard did not return, and Utah watched an early 10-4 lead turn into a 15-point deficit midway through the second quarter.
Harris initially pulled his hamstring about two weeks ago and has struggled with the injury since. This flare-up felt "worse" and was "pretty sore." He plans to re-evaluate his leg Tuesday, but is likely out Wednesday as the Jazz close out their road trip against Oklahoma City."
