Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Garnett is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Boston Celtics.

Garnett, who played only 10 minutes during Minnesota's win over the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday, is with the team in Boston and talked with Celtics staffers in the hallway outside the teams' locker rooms before Monday's game.

This is the fourth game this season that Garnett, 39, has missed. This is Minnesota's only visit to Boston this season and would have been only the fourth time Garnett has competed against the Celtics since being traded away in July 2013.
