"As Caleb Hanie dissected the loss to the Raiders on Monday, he came to one conclusion: Better days are ahead.

But the Bears quarterback admitted some of the Raiders' defensive looks Sunday took him by surprise.

"You don't want to have to learn these things when your team's on a winning streak and you're trying to make a playoff push," Hanie said Tuesday. "I knew there was going to be a learning curve; I just hope it's very short.''"
