The new class of Hall of Famers has been determined. And while we won’t see the fully-completed sausage for a couple of hours, the sausage-making process took nearly nine hours.

Via Peter King of Football Night in America and, the selection committee met for a record eight hours and 59 minutes.

The group, which includes PFT’s Darin Gantt, considered 15 modern-day finalists and a pair of senior committee nominees: Ray Guy and Claude Humphrey.

The 15 finalists, up to five of which will make it, include Morten Andersen, Jerome Bettis, Derrick Brooks, Tim Brown, Eddie DeBartolo, Tony Dungy, Kevin Greene, Charles Haley, Marvin Harrison, Walter Jones, John Lynch, Andre Reed, Will Shields, Michael Strahan, and Aeneas Williams.
