Matt Halischuk is the latest member of the walking wounded for the Winnipeg Jets.

Halischuk left Saturday's game with 1:54 left in the first period after blocking a shot in the right arm from Dallas Stars forward Alex Chaisson.

The Jets said it was an upper-body injury and that he's more than day-to-day.

"We have to get (him) checked out a little further," said Jets head coach Claude Noel. "But he will not be a player, he'll probably be out for a while."

Halischuk scored his third goal of the season and collected his seventh point in 30 games on Saturday and has been an effective player on a line with Mark Scheifele and Michael Frolik.
