The man who protects Tom Brady’s blind side was rewarded with a hefty contract extension Wednesday.
New England Patriots left tackle Nate Solder was given a two-year contract extension worth a reported $20.62 million, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported. Solder, who was named a team captain Tuesday, has a clause in contract that prohibits the Patriots from using the franchise or transition tag on him, a source told Schefter.
