Greg Monroe will represent the Detroit Pistons during the NBA draft lottery May 17 in Secaucus, N.J.

The power forward averaged 9.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per game as a rookie this season. He finished sixth in rookie-of-the-year voting.

The Pistons have a 59.9% chance of landing the No. 7 pick. They have a 23.2% chance for the eighth pick, a 4.3% chance for the first pick, 4.9% for the second and 5.8% for the third. They also could pick ninth or 10th, but the chances are very small. They can pick no lower than 10th.

During last year's lottery, the Pistons landed the No. 7 pick, which they used toMonroe out of Georgetown. Pistons vice president of basketball operations Scott Perry represented the team on stage during the 2010 lottery.
