Phoenix Suns big man Greg Monroe will be making his debut with his new team on Thursday evening against the Houston Rockets. He will notably be filling in for veteran center Tyson Chandler, who will miss the Western Conference clash due to an illness.

Monroe was originally acquired by the Suns as a part of the deal that saw guard Eric Bledsoe heading to the Milwaukee Bucks. He appeared in five games with the Bucks prior to the trade, averaging 6.8 points and an even five rebounds in just under 16 minutes per outing.

Over his two seasons and change in Milwaukee, Monroe was shifted into a bench role, averaging a single-season career-low 6.6 rebounds per game last season. The Bucks inked him to a three-year, $50 million deal in July 2015, making him a free agency candidate this coming offseason.
