Suns point guard Goran Dragic will sit out tonight’s game at Utah due to a right ankle sprain he suffered during Tuesday night’s home loss to Minnesota.

Dragic tweaked the ankle in the third quarter Tuesday night when he grabbed an errant Timberwolves shot and started a fastbreak. Heading full-speed downcourt against Ricky Rubio, Dragic tried to plant his right foot to swerve left behind Rubio but the ankle gave way and Dragic went down.

Dragic continued playing and even hit a transition pull-up jump shot on the next trip before exiting after fouling Rubio on a driving and-one, giving him his second foul. Dragic returned for four fourth-quarter minutes but picked up four more fouls to foul out after adding four more points — four of the Suns’ six points for a 7 1/2-minute stretch.
