Gonzalez sets league record against Seattle

"Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez became the first player in league history to have 60 catches or more for 12 consecutive seasons on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. His 60th catch of the season came on his second reception, a two-yard gain with 6:21 left in the second quarter.

"It's incredible," said Gonzalez, who was tied with Jerry Rice and finished with four catches for 26 yards. "That's one where I can look back on and say, 'Wow, Jerry Rice! I got to break a record of his?' That's something that I thought would never be possible."

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan was elated to be apart of Gonzalez's record-setting day.

"That's unbelievable," Ryan said. "That's just another notch on his belt."

Ryan admits to being a fan of Gonzalez while growing up in suburban Philadelphia.

"I feel like I've been watching him since I was in the seventh or eighth grade," Ryan said. "But he's been dominating for that long. It's just amazing to see. I've been fortunate to have him in our offense and on our team the last couple of years.""
