Gonzaga center Kelly Olynyk will work out for the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday, June 11, a source close to the prospect informed CSNNW.com.

Olynyk, 22, is a four-year collegiate 7-0 center that has a consistent outside jump-shot that extends deep and he prefers to play with his face to the basket.

“Kelly has a super high skill level with a high IQ,” said Dan Dickau, former Gonzaga superstar and former Trail Blazers player development assistant currently color commentator for the Gonzaga Men's Basketball program. “He has great footwork, balance and will have a very good career. He's also a very good kid.”

Olynyk improved his game dramatically after red-shirting his junior season. During his sophomore season he averaged 5.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 0.1 blocks in 13.5 minutes a game. Last season his numbers rose to 18.1 points, 7.3 boards and 1.1 blocks in 26.5 minutes a contest.

The seven-footer is projected in most mock drafts to be a lottery pick.

The Trail Blazers own picks No. 10, 39, 40 and 45 in the NBA Draft on June 27.
