Goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere is scheduled to get a rare start Saturday against the Minnesota Wild and left wing Gabe Landeskog will continue to play with center Ryan O'Reilly, Avalanche coach Joe Sacco said Friday through a team spokesman.

The Avs didn't practice Friday, although their scratches from Thursday's 5-3 loss at Minnesota, plus enforcer Patrick Bordeleau and Giguere, participated in light shooting drills to prepare "Jiggy" for his fourth start of the season. He is 2-1-1 in five appearances.

Landeskog and O'Reilly played in 80 games together last season, when Landeskog captured the Calder Trophy as NHL rookie of the year and O'Reilly paced the team in scoring. They were reunited in the second period of Thursday's game at Minnesota, scoring a goal on their first shift in a four-on-four situation.David Jones was their right-winger.

In seven games since returning from an ugly contract dispute, O'Reilly has two goals and five points. Landeskog has only seven points (three goals) in 15 games.
