Tim Lincecum and the Giants agreed to a two-year deal on Tuesday pending a physical.

Lincecum a two-time Cy Young Award winner was set to become a free agent at the conclusion of the World Series. The 29-year-old was 10-14 last season with a 4.37 ERA and threw his first career no-hitter. After the Giants signed Hunter Pence during the final series of the season Lincecum indicated that he would wait and test the market.

"It's about putting myself in the best situation to succeed in this game whether that's with this team or another" he said. "I think that's going to be my main focus this offseason."

As it turned out Lincecum signed before the offseason truly began.
