"The Super Bowl was not kind to the position of tight end for the Giants, as two of them, Jake Ballard and Travis Beckum, yesterday attended the celebratory festivities hobbled and walking with the aid of crutches.

Beckum during the 21-17 victory over the Patriots was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament. It was believed Ballard went down with damage to his meniscus cartilage, but the Giants revealed that Ballard also tore his ACL in his left knee and, like Beckum, will require reconstructive surgery that puts the 2012 season in doubt for both of them."
