George Washington coach Mike Lonergan would not rule out Kethan Savage from Friday's Round of 64 game against Memphis, but it sounds like the Colonials guard will remain sidelined with a foot injury.

A source told CBSSports.com that there is a "50-50" chance that Savage plays on Friday, and "signs aren't good" for his return. Savage did not take part in the team's open practice on Thursday, and he has not played an entire game since suffering a broken foot on Jan. 18.

On Thursday Lonergan told the media he was preparing for Memphis as if Savage is not going to play, but would not rule out another brief appearance -- Savage recorded one minute in the loss to VCU in the Atlantic 10 tournament -- for the 6-3 sophomore.

"Maybe the trainer comes to me tomorrow afternoon and says he wants to play. That's what happened last game," Lonergan said. "We were told he could play up to four minutes. Unfortunately, his foot was sore maybe 45 seconds or a minute in, so he didn't play.
