The England midfielder all-but agreed to move to the MLS last summer before being persuaded to stay by Blues' boss Jose Mourinho.

LA Galaxy reportedly remain hopeful of signing Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard this summer.

The 35-year-old looked set to move to the MLS at the end of last season before being talked into staying at Stamford Bridge by returning boss Jose Mourinho.

However, he has continued to be used sparingly by the Blues, with Galaxy monitoring the current situation.

And according to the Sun, they are ready to hand Lampard a huge £4MILLION-A-YEAR deal, to force through a move to the States.

Chelsea are set to hand him another one-year deal, including a coaching role, but the midfielder may seek a final challenge in his distinguished career.

Former Tottenham striker Robbie Keane and US legend Landon Donovan are two of Galaxy's three 'designated' players above the MLS salary cap.
