Four-star quarterback Lorenzo Nunez of Kennesaw (Ga.) Hamilton announced his oral commitment to South Carolina on Thursday evening, choosing the Gamecocks over Ohio State and North Carolina State.

Rated by the No. 6 dual-threat quarterback in the 2015 recruiting class, Nunez held an Ohio State offer for a while, but the communication between him and the Buckeyes was lacking as of late.

Though Nunez had an offer, there is some debate as to whether it was committable.

Ohio State missed out on four-star quarterback Brandon Wimbush of Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep on Tuesday, which was a much bigger blow considering he was the Buckeyes' top target at the position.
