Baseball America published their top 100 prospects list on Tuesday, a regular cause for celebration across the industry. Four Yankees made the list. It’s a familiar quarter, the same foursome ranked in the top 100 by ESPN earlier this year.

No. 32 – Mason Williams.
Best tool: Speed/defense (70).
Weakest: Arm (50).

No. 57 – Gary Sanchez
Best tool: Power (65)
Weakest: Speed (30)

No. 63 – Slade Heathcott
Best tool: Speed (70)
Weakest: Bat (50)

No. 77 – Tyler Austin
Best tool: Bat (65)
Weakest: Speed/defense (50)

Williams, of course, is not in camp. It’s too early to say much definitively about the other trio, although I’ve seen them clobber some balls during B.P. Sanchez took another minor-leaguer deep during live batting practice last week. Team officials hope they can start making contributions to the big-league club by some time in 2014.
