For the first 50 games of the season, the Padres wondered what their fortunes might have been had they had Carlos Quentin and Logan Forsythe in the lineup.

Tuesday night they got an indication.

Forsythe gave the Padres a 6-5, walk-off victory with the first home run of his major league career one inning after Quentin tied the game with his second homer of the night and his fifth in 23 at-bats since joining the Padres.

Quentin and Forsythe both joined the Padres during the past week after missing almost all of the first third of the season on the disabled list.
