The fact that it involved two of the most hated ex-Raptors still in the league made it all the more interesting locally.

Leaving Phoenix after a stay of just 25 game following his one-season flop in Toronto, was none other than Hedo Turkoglu.

The "Turkish Tease" who has never seen enough "ball" since leaving Orlando is headed back to the Magic, while another former Raptor, who left Toronto a lot less happy with him than when he showed up, in one Vincent Lamar Carter on his way to Phoenix.

Joining Carter is potential stud big man Marcin Gortat, forward Mickael Pietrus, a future first-round pick and cash. Joining Turkoglu headed the other way is Jason Richardson and second-year forward Earl Clark.

The Phoenix deal was actually just the finishing touches on an overhaul that began earlier in the day when GM Otis Smith sent forward Rashard Lewis to Washington for guard Gilbert Arenas.

It's an unprecedented mid-season overhaul for a team with a very respectable 16-9 record but one the organization felt it had to make in light of the immediate concerns and at least major concern down the road.
