"Running back Ricky Williams has informed Baltimore Ravens officials he is retiring, according to a league source.

He completes a distinguished career and was a very effective change-of-pace power runner for Baltimore in 2011.

Williams carried the ball 108 times for 444 yards and two touchdowns this season, his first with the Ravens. He finished his career with 2,431 carries for 10,009 yards and 66 touchdowns after playing for the Dolphins and Saints over 11 seasons."
