Former employee accused of stealing from T.O. to pay rent

"A former employee of Terrell Owens' has been charged in Atlanta with stealing nearly $30,000 from the Cincinnati Bengals star, accused of using a bank account belonging to the wide receiver to pay rent on a $2,000-a-month apartment in the city's tony Buckhead neighborhood, WSB-TV reported Friday.

Antonio Edwards was charged with felony theft by deception in 13 warrants issued May 13 by a Fulton County judge.

Police documents allege that Edwards used Owens' account, via an online system, to pay rent for more than a year at the Port Alexander Apartment Complex.

Owens made $2 million in base salary last season, his first with the Bengals. He'll be a free agent once the NFL lockout ends."
