Doug Fister and Delmon Young became the last two pieces the Tigers needed to win the Central Division this season. Both are due to return to the Tigers next season along with almost the entire core of the team that won 95 games.

Fister arrived on July 30 and filled the open spot in the rotation. Young came two weeks later and filled the vacancy at the No. 3 spot in the order."
