Philadelphia Flyers right wing Steve Downie was released from a Philadelphia hospital Sunday, according to general manager Paul Holmgren.

Downie was injured during a fight with Washington Capitals forward Aaron Volpatti in the second period of the Flyers' 7-0 loss Friday. He is out indefinitely with concussion.

"Steve is out of the hospital and doing well. Vinny [Vincent Lecavalier] is day to day."

Holmgren said Saturday he expects Lecavalier (facial contusion) to play Tuesday against the Carolina Hurricanes. Lecavalier was injured during a fight with Steve Oleksy on Friday.
