When it comes to Matthew Tkachuk, the Flames are used to taking the bad with the good. But he's been hit with another suspension.
Calgary's resident NHL nuisance will sit out one game for "unsportsmanlike conduct" after prodding Maple Leafs forward Matt Martin with the blade end of his stick from the Flames' bench Wednesday, the league's Department of Player Safety announced.
That brings Tkachuk's suspension tally to two games so far in 2017-18. The 19-year-old received a one-game ban last month for tapping Red Wings defenseman Luke Witkowski on the back with his stick, igniting an all-encompassing brawl. Witkowski was suspended 10 games.
