"The rumor mill has been busy cranking out future destination spots for Titans running back LenDale White.
First, it had him going to Seattle in a trade. He could be reunited with former USC coach Pete Carroll there, of course.
Next, he was going to San Diego in a trade for Chargers cornerback Antonio Cromartie.
Listen to Titans Coach Jeff Fisher, though, and it sounds like White isn't going anywhere. He shot down the Cromartie trade talk, calling it "speculation" only.
And he made it clear White is in the team's plans for this fall. The Titans are expected to make a tender offer to White as a restricted free agent. He'd back up running back Chris Johnson, of course.
"Basically, as I told him at the end of the season, last year was a redshirt year,'' Fisher said of White, who carried the ball just 64 times for 222 yards in 2009 . "He was ready to play, (and) we called on him in certain situations. But he understood and was CJ's biggest fan and he just didn't get the opportunity. There should be more opportunities for him this year."
