Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference will have a disciplinary hearing today with the league's Department of Player Safety for his elbow on the Toronto Maple Leafs' Mikhail Grabovski in the first priod of last night's Game 1. The hearing will be conducted by phone, which means Ference could not be suspended for more than five games.

The play occured at the 13:03 mark when Grabovski was chasing down a loose puck in the Bruins' defensive zone and Ference fended him off with the elbow.

After being suspended for three games for a hit from behind on the New York Rangers' Ryan McDonagh in January of 2012, Ference would be considered a repeat offender.
