For some almost inexplicable reason — the only one, perhaps, being that he simply likes it here — Felix Hernandez wants to stay in Seattle. He loves being a Mariner. And even though he's a three-time All-Star, won the A.L. Cy Young Award two years ago and is one of this season's hottest potential trade commodities, he doesn't want to leave.

But he's on one of the worst teams in baseball. And the M's have been one of the worst teams in baseball for nearly his entire career here. In his seven years in Seattle, not including this season, the Mariners have finished with a winning record just twice.

He could probably go anywhere. But he doesn't want to.
