Fantasy Spotlight: Expect Broncos' Orton-to-Lloyd connection

"This is going to be a tough game for the Broncos to win. If they want to stay in the game they'll have to throw early and often against Green Bay. The Packers have a great run defense, but they get torched through the air each week. This is a good sign for Orton and Lloyd. I believe that Orton will need to get the ball out of his hands quickly because of the Packers pass rush. This means quick slants and out routes for guys like Lloyd and Eric Decker?. If Orton has time there is a good chance to rack up yards throwing down the deep middle seam of the defense.

The Broncos cannot have a conservative mindset against one of the most high-powered offenses in the league. They'll have to take shots downfield, and I think that equals a big day for both Orton and Lloyd. The Packers' pass D has been beaten up by New Orleans, Carolina, and Chicago so far this year, and is currently averaging 359.3 net yards allowed per game.

I am in a league that allows me to start 2RB/2WR/1FLEX where I have Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall, Bills RB Fred Jackson, Browns RB Peyton Hillis, and Rams RB Steven Jackson. I can only start three of these guys at a time so it makes sense to try and deal one to upgrade my weak WR corps. I have been offered Patriots WR Wes Welker for Fred Jackson, Hillis, or Mendenhall. Should I give up one of them for Welker? If so, which one?

— Dominic, Colorado Springs

Lammey: I absolutely love this deal. Adding Wes Welker by any means possible is a good plan for any fantasy team out there. We've seen Patriots QB Tom Brady lock onto Welker early and often every week. The way they're playing it could be another record-breaking passing game in New England this year.

It's painful to give up one of your top tier RBs, but Welker is worth it. I would trade away Mendenhall in your situation. The Steelers? are not looking good this year, and have a tendency to play down to their competition. Their offensive line is one of the worst units in the league, and are not opening up many holes for the ground game. Upgrade your team by getting Welker for Mendenhall. "
